1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and TexForge. By registering for an account, accessing the platform, or using any TexForge service, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be bound by them.

2. Description of Service

TexForge provides a web-based collaborative editor for LaTeX and Markdown documents, a server-side document compiler, AI-assisted writing features via ForgeAgent, a template marketplace, real-time collaboration tools, and related services ("the Service"). The Service is provided on a subscription basis as described on our pricing page.

3. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate and complete registration information.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must notify us immediately at admin@yashlabs.dev if you suspect unauthorised access.
• You may not share your account with others or use another person's account.
• We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate our usage limits or security policies.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use TexForge to:

• Upload, compile, or distribute unlawful, defamatory, or infringing content.
• Circumvent rate limits, abuse the compiler infrastructure, or attempt to disrupt the service.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or scrape the platform in an automated manner.
• Use the platform to generate, store, or distribute malware or phishing content.
• Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.

5. Intellectual Property

By using TexForge, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, and compile your content solely for the purpose of delivering the Service to you.

7. Subscription & Billing

• Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual cycle via Stripe.
• All prices are displayed in USD and exclusive of applicable taxes.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• Plan cancellations or tier downgrades take effect at the end of the current active billing period.
• Promotional or introductory pricing is valid for the stated period only.

8. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time via the Settings panel. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without notice or refund, if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if required to do so by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Your data is retained for 30 days before permanent deletion.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. Use of the Service is at your sole risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TexForge and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of revenue, or loss of profit, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also have rights under the laws of your home country.
