We're building the future
of technical writing.

LaTeX has been the standard for academic and technical publishing for four decades. It produces beautiful output โ€” but the tooling around it has lagged far behind. TexForge is our answer: a modern, collaborative, AI-assisted environment that makes LaTeX feel like it belongs in 2026.

Our mission

To make publication-grade document production accessible to every researcher, engineer, and writer โ€” regardless of their LaTeX expertise. We do that by combining a fast compiler, a forgiving editor, and an AI agent that understands technical content.

We're an India-based team. We believe world-class developer tooling can be โ€” and should be โ€” built outside of Silicon Valley.

How we got here

May 2026

The frustration & prototype

Frustrated by compile lag and package manager dependency conflicts, we built a containerised compilation pipeline wrapping the Tectonic engine that compiled documents in under 2 seconds.

June 2026

ForgeAgent integration

Integrated ForgeAgent, our contextual AI assistant designed to identify syntax errors, explain raw logs, and write document templates in plain English.

July 2026

Open Beta launch

Launched TexForge Open Beta to the public, introducing real-time editor sync, templating engine, and complete audit tracking.

What we believe

Open by default

We believe great tooling should be accessible. Our pricing is transparent, our roadmap is public, and our core compiler pipeline will always be auditable.

Privacy first

Your documents are yours. We don't train models on your content, we don't sell your data, and we give you the tools to delete everything whenever you want.

Speed matters

A compiler that makes you wait kills creative flow. Every architectural decision โ€” from our Rust-based backend to our WebSocket-powered editor โ€” is made with latency in mind.

AI as a tool, not a crutch

Our ForgeAgent assists, suggests, and accelerates โ€” but never takes over. The final document is always yours, shaped by your intent.

Built by builders

TexForge is created, designed, and maintained by Yash Kumar Singh. A single-minded focus on building the highest-performance LaTeX and Markdown editor.

Sub-second compilation

A containerised compilation pipeline wrapping Tectonic for zero overhead.

Privacy by design

We don't train models on your documents. Your source files are yours.
